How does our Wireless Real Time Locating System work?

1. Patients, staff, equipment or assets are equipped with an individually identifiable TrailblazerTag. For staff, you can choose a Trailblazer™ pager that features an LED screen enabling two-way communication from a menu of text choices as well as an alarm button to enable them to summon help. Trailblazer™ Tags carried by patients include an alarm button that they can press if they require assistance.

2. TrailblazerRouters are attached to the ceiling throughout the facility, forming a wireless locating mesh network. The routers record the position of the locatable tags in real time and relay any requests for help triggered through the alarm button. The two-way communication messages transmitted by staff are also conveyed via the routers.

3. The information gathered by the routers is transmitted to the Trailblazer™ Wireless Controller.

4. The TrailblazerWireless Controller relays the data via the Internet for multiple sites and via the Intranet for single premises.

5. Data is received by the customer’s Local Area Network (LAN) server or computer.

6. The data is conveyed to computers via the Internet or Intranet, and configured into easy-to-read reports using TrailblazerWireless Application Software.

For organisations requiring a substantial number of locating devices, Locating Technologies offers the convenience of customised software solutions.
